Program Description

Nestled in the serene, rural landscape of Upstate New York, Arts Letters & Numbers (ALN) serves as a year-round Artist Residency dedicated to fostering creativity and collaboration. Located within the historic Faith Mills Complex, ALN provides an inspiring retreat where artists, thinkers, and creators from around the globe come to pursue their work, connect with others, and immerse themselves in a dynamic environment of creative exploration. Founded in 2011 as a summer workshop, ALN has grown exponentially, transforming into a year-round residency program in 2015. Over the years, it has hosted hundreds of residents across a wide range of disciplines, from visual arts and writing to music composition, architecture, and philosophy. With a focus on cultivating an atmosphere of creative urgency, ALN is a space where ideas flourish and cross-disciplinary conversations thrive.
