Green Olive Arts is an international art studio in Tetouan, Morocco. We connect the creatives of the world with the rich culture and beauty of Morocco. Applicants must submit the online application form, CV, portfolio of recent works, artist statement, application fee and complete an interview. They will be assessed and a residency awarded by our local Selection Panel according to caliber of the artist's work and fit of the artist's residency proposal with the theme, goals and capacity of Green Olive Arts. Emerging and established artists of all disciplines are welcome to apply - visual artists, painters, sculptors, musicians, dancers, choreographers, writers, filmmakers, poets, curators, puppeteers, printmakers, multi-disciplinary artists, designers, architects, performance artists, screenwriters installation artists and more.

Program Description

An immersive, 4 week, themed art residency at Green Olive Arts in Tetouan, Morocco, calling artists from a broad spectrum of creative practices and cultural backgrounds to intensify and enrich their creative practice by immersing in a city where east layers with west, modern resonates with ancient, and cultures converge. This annual Convergence residency is characterized by the coming together from different directions, becoming similar, or developing something in common. The RESONATE theme will inform project proposals with the idea of intensifying and enriching by supplementary vibration... producing a quality of richness and variety... evoking a response, or relating harmoniously. The residency includes private hotel, 2 meals/day, airport transfer, in-country travel, tours, and shared studio space, with access to equipment, furniture, tools, secure wifi, on-site assistance and program coordination, translation, local volunteers and the resources needed to create new works.
