The call is open both to professional photographers interested in deepen their knowledge on the antique photographic techniques, and visual artists interested in experimenting with these.

Program Description
Due to a recent last-minute cancellation, Palermofoto is opening a short-notice open call for its art residency program. Casa & putìa is a 10-day art residency in Palermo, Sicily, open to photographers and visual artists eager to explore historical photographic techniques. The program fosters artistic exchange, blending tradition and contemporary experimentation. Participants receive daily intensive training (5+ hours) in Cyanotype, Van Dyke, Salt Paper, and Wet Collodion, with access to a professional studio, darkroom, and library. The residency includes accommodation in a private room and concludes with Casa Aperta, a public exhibition. It is open to international artists, with activities in Italian, English, and French. The fee is €1350 (€1850 for duos), covering training, materials, and exhibition costs. Sessions run in spring and autumn.
