Program Description

Palermofoto launches casa & putìa, a 10-day art residency in Palermo, Sicily, open to photographers and visual artists eager to explore historical photographic techniques. The program fosters artistic exchange, blending tradition and contemporary experimentation. Participants receive daily intensive training (5+ hours) in Cyanotype, Van Dyke, Salt Paper, and Wet Collodion, with access to a professional studio, darkroom, and library. The residency includes accommodation in a private room and concludes with Casa Aperta, a public exhibition. It is open to international artists, with activities in Italian, English, and French. The fee is €1350 (€1850 for duos), covering training, materials, and exhibition costs. Residencies are taking place from October 2026 to May 2026.
