Program Description
VIR Viafarini-in-residence is available as a shared studio program for artists and curators. VIR is a place open to dialog between visual arts and other forms of expression, aiming at giving space to the artistic productions of the hosted artists and facilitating skills’ exchange and professional growth. At regular intervals, the doors of the shared studio are opened to the public on the occasion of the VIR Open Studio. VIR shared studio is 240 square mt, where artists work side by side for variable periods. Viafarini runs a documentation center at nearby Fabbrica del Vapore. VIR provides accommodation in apartments, located in the same building, in completely independent two-room flats of 40 square mt each. Viafarini launched Endless Residency, an observatory that investigates artistic residencies to stimulate the debate on the mobility of visual artists and promote the knowledge of the best Italian and international practices. https://www.viafarini.org/429/endless-residency/
