Program Description

Our residency program aims to provide a comprehensive and immersive experience, allowing artists to expand their practices in the areas of sustainability and research. Over the course of the six-week residency, participants can anticipate a rich program that encompasses various elements intended to nurture their artistic journey. This includes weekly group meetings, personalized 1:1 sessions with curator Joana Alarcão, and captivating lectures focusing on ecological art and artists. Moreover, participants will have the opportunity to join the international IOAEA community, granting them access to our network space. Within this space, artists can engage with peers, discuss their practices, and access exclusive opportunities tailored to eco, social, and political art from various organizations. The program also encompasses diffusion and promotion, a dedicated residency profile on the IOAEA website, a personal interview featured on the website, and take part in a virtual group exhibition.
