Eligibility

Artist’s portfolio: brief explanation of his/her project (maximum 30 lines and maximum 5 recent photographs, PDF format), proposed timetable for the realisation of the project, with dates of arrival and departure, in order to better organise his/her stay; specification of the techniques involved in the creative process. We will be delighted to welcome you in the magical and creative Barcelona :) We receive artists from different artistic disciplines, curators, and national managers and international organizations that are interested in developing their projects in the different techniques of traditional stamping; parallel talks, meetings, visits and exhibitions that complement each of the artistic projects to be developed.

Number of Participants

Addressed to professional artists or artists in training who want to develop their artistic project in a different environment and context, who want to experiment or learn about a specific technique or various graphic techniques, we use traditional and contemporary graphic processes, experimentation is a key factor in contemporary graphics. We have a completely new and fully equipped space, with the necessary infrastructure for the development of activities related to the world of printmaking. A production workshop of more than 90 square metres and a gallery of more than 30 square metres. Spacious studio to share with a maximum of 6 people can work comfortably. We are located in the heart of Barcelona (Spain) at 112 Aragón Street, a cosmopolitan neighbourhood surrounded by beautiful modernist architecture.

Program Description

Print Studio & Gallery. La Maldita Estampa, is a place created by artists to give support to other artists, focused on the world of printmaking. Open Call, addressed to artists, curators, and national and international cultural managers of different artistic disciplines, who are interested in learning or developing their projects with traditional printing techniques.We creates the opportunity and the right conditions to host international artists in Barcelona (Spain) with its Artists in Residence programme, offering its space formed by a fully equipped workshop and its gallery, an ideal place for the diffusion and promotion of the work of the resident artists. Our aim is to offer resident artists the resources, support and guidance necessary for the optimal development of their projects. To make the artist feel as if they were in their own studio, working freely, developing, experimenting, researching and achieving the highest quality as a final result.
