FUNDACION CASA XAAN is looking forward to extend full granted 30day residency program from international open call to sellection through this 2019, into supporting the individual production of art and on its mission to link the community we are located at to this cross-cultural process. Open but no limited to visual artists, writers, musicians, performers, architects and scenic artists interested in relating their work by closer aproach to the mexican cultures.

Program Description

3 sellected artists will be invited to live and work in Casa Xaán In Ná sustainable jungle complex, each having private access into living/working quarters (16-36m2), access to shared guest bathroom facilities outside room, access to shared workshop (28m2), access to central kitchen, wifi, and exterior lounge areas plus cooked meals served on site. Access to electricity is limited to common areas supplied by solar system. This is a production oriented grant extended for excelency in artistic achievement which on the same time considers innovation as core value. Sellection criteria then is based on content of the proposal, then on the quality of previous finished work. We expect to create a small interdiscipline group of artists from different levels of evolution so we may benefit in learning from each other, experience and learn about low impact living, and maybe network in future collaborations.
